How to read/write Bosch PSG16 flash with MPPS V18 clone

Here are questions and answers about MPPS V18 eu clone, form PSG16 owners and experienced Mpps v18 users. Wish this helps!

Q: Can it read and immo from pump or just flash(maps)?
A: mpps reads/writes only flash (only part with maps)

Q: Mpps v18 is possible read flash Psg16?Read for Obd flash & immo ?
A: eeprom only Carprog or FVDI.

Q: Anyone test mpps v18 eu clone with PSG16 read/write flash?
A: Works fine. Real direct to the pump,write for obd
i made also on 2-3 egr off, working fine...

Q: if it's a virtual read or real , and if it's a partial read/write or full? and work on CAN and K-line ? or just CAN?

How to get JLR SDD to work with Ford IDS in a VCM2 clone

JLR SDD v142 and Ford IDS v100 can work no issues in one VCM2 china clone, if you pay attention to the synchronization of sw and fw.
That is, the software of Ford and JLR (Jaguar & Land Rover) has the corresponding VCM2 firmware versions. Software and firmware should be in sync. For example, IDS V86 is compatible with vcm fw: A, and SDD v135 also with vcm fw: A. But if you install IDS v98 for use, then the vcm firmware version would turn B, but the corresponding vcm firmware version remains A, as for SDD v135. The firmware version of IDS and SDD is different. When you convert IDS to SDD, or SDD to IDS, the system would pop up info as below like “VCMII software update”... To ask you to match the firmware with the software.





So for sake of compatibility, to update software.
For vcm2 units, Ford ids v86 had better work with JLR sdd v135,
ids v98 with sdd v140,
For the vcm unit, it’s not allow to update. It’s a must.

PSA Lexia 3 DiagBox PC and Network Requirements

Here is the Lexia 3 Diagnox software requirement of PC (windows system, RAM, controller type) and network connection.
First, Diagbox had better work on Windows 32-bit system.
Ensure you are using 32 bit Windows and you can use Windows XP, 7, Vista, 8/8.1 or 10. All work...
Windows Installation:
Install a clean Windows XP Pro SP3 32 bit #, activate it and install the following tools:
  1. a) Install VirtualBox Guest Additions or VMWare Tools after installing Windows if installing on Virtual Machine.
  2. b) Microsoft .NET 3.5 SP1 Framework (needed for DiagBox 7.60+)
  3. c) All necessary drivers (usually covered by the Guest Additions/VMWare Tools)
  4. d) Setup a network adapter (does not need to be connected to network)
  5. e) Mozilla Firefox
  6. f) Java 6 or 7 (not necessary)
  7. g) 7zip or Winrar
  8. h) Virtual Clonedrive (not needed for Virtual Machines)
Also, Virtual Machine is ok...
Install VirtualBox or VMplayer and the extensions/tools ensuring the following:
  1. a) Ensure that the Hard Disk controller is set to IDE not SCSI.
  2. b) Create a preferably fixed hard drive 20-36GB preferably contiguous, Dynamic also works. (Win XP needs less resources than 10)
  3. c) Connect the Windows ISO through the Settings -> Storage menu.
  4. d) Install VirtualBox Guest Additions or VMWare Tools after installing Windows.
Note: A Virtual Machine (VM) software is usually used on a computer running Windows 64bit or Linux, with Virtualization capable CPU, 4GB+ RAM and lots of Hard Disk space; the more the merrier. It allows the user to create a virtual computer hardware (choose number of CPUs, amount of RAM and Hard Disk space) in order to install a new operating system and applications on the VM without interfering with system that is running or real computer. (I5 + 4GB RAM + 20GB HD is OK for Win XP 32bit). It can be easily cloned or deleted.
Second, focus on the RAM and controller type.
You could mention how much RAM (if you bought the computer with 32 bit, then it is likely to be 4GB) and Disk space you have.
But it is most likely the Disk and if you wish to change the controller type (BIOS/UEFI):
1- Create a small partition (10 mb) on the Disk Drive of the type wanted, and/or change it through Disk Management.
2- Format it and let the computer recognise it (this is for Windows to download the appropriate drivers).
3- Now you can change the Disk controller type (in BIOS) and reboot from you original Disk.
4- Remove the small partition you created.
If you don't do the above steps, you won't be able to boot. There are other steps between the above ones, but they are the main points.
Having said that, I would install Windows 10 64 bit, then install VirtualBox (fast and free) or VMWare player (free and good compatibility) and you will have a lot of advantages using 32 bit Windows XP as it requires few resources.
Third, you don't need to be connected to the internet to use the Lexia3 device...
Reference: Diagbox software installation
  1. Disconnect the network cable/connection.
    2. Create a blank file named version.txt and saved to the root directory i.e “C:\version.txt” (This step may not be necessary with newer DiagBox versions).
    3. Mount the DiagBox 7.02 ISO and run the setup, go through the process. At some stage, "new hardware found" message will appear, do not choose to search automatically for drivers, you may cancel it or just manually select the driver that should now be available.
    4. Start DiagBox and when prompted for activation, choose the "manual activation" option, fill-in information as per the provided instructions. DiagBox will start as v7.01.
    5. Reboot the computer and restart DiagBox again, it will run the internet updates (even if not connected to the net) and will open as V7.02.

K+DCAN cable pinout & ICOM D pinout for BMW bike diagnostics

Usually, K+DCAN usb cable and ICOM D adapter are the most cost-effective diagnostic bundle for BMW bikes/motorcycles. But some chinese knock-offs probably come with wrong pinout. Here share my pinout setup with you all.
I have ENET cable but could not use it with the bike. I have used USB-K+DCAN cable instead.There are only 2 pins incorrectly wired but this is something thoroughly discussed on specialized diagnostic fora so it takes only 10 minutes (and soldering iron) to correct the wiring.
So final wiring of 10 pins plugshould be like this:

If the adapter you buy, has one of this set-ups you should be good.
2) I have bought my ICOM D from China (one week around to wait of course but it is really worth it).
some of the chinese ICOM-D cables are incorrectly wired and the 10 pin round connectors are of very poor quality, the correct pin out is
It will depend on whether the OBD end of the cable is screwed together as to whether you can change it
Then there is the question of what OBD interface you are using to the PC
In short, what I personally did (I am sure I know less then 1% what this powerful software can do):
-change the SA and VO code (adding/deleting options in case of the car and FA in case of the bike) – this was done with NCS Expert.
-coding the car with INPA and NCS Expert to “tell” it that I no longer have the rear right and rear door airbags
-coding with INPA and NCS Expert the passenger presence mat state which is broken, but rather then changing it, I just coded it.
-changed miles to km all the readings (speedometer, odometer, consumption) with NCS Expert on the car and ISTA-P on the bike
-unlocked the TV in motion on the car with NCS Expert and NCS Dummy
-updated the car and bike software with new Daten files using NCS Expert on the car and ISTA-P on the bike
-retrofitted LEDs on the bike using ISTA-P
-retrofitted factory alarm on the bike using ISTA-P
-set new service interval for the bike (both date and mileage)
-read and cleared the faults on the car and bike using Rheingold (ISTA-D)
-looked deeper into my exhaust flap operation by triggering it closed and open from Rheingold diagnostic software (in fact Rheingold is a very powerful diagnostic tool which I am told is used by the dealer already)
I am sure it can do much more, but this was what I bought it for and it did all brilliantly and it was as easy as moving the cursor around the screen and pressing a button (well, moving the stylus in my case as I have a Thinkpad X200 tablet)

How to install and use Renault-COM Bluetooth Diagnostic Interface?

How to install Renault-COM Bluetooth software?
Step1. Download Net Framework 4.0.exe or 4.0 above in your laptop in advance.
Disable ALL available networks before install or use Renault-COM software.

Step2. Open “My Computer” then CD-ROM “ASP_REN (E:)”, copy all files to desktop.
Install Net Framework: double click Net Framework software icon on desktop to start the Setup.
Step3. First check the box “I have read and accept…” then click “Install”.
Wait a while and Net Framework installation complete, click “Finish”.
Step4. Open “SuperScan_10-02-13”, select language as English then click “OK”.
Click “Install” and wait a while, you will see the install wizard as below. Click “Next”→ “I accept…”→ “Next” → “Next” → “Install” → “Finish”.


Now you install Renault-COM software successfully! Delete Net Framework and “SuperScan_10-02-13” from desktop.
How use Renault-COM Bluetooth software to diagnose Renault cars?
Before use you should set Bluetooth first!
  1. Click the Bluetooth icon to choose “Open Bluetooth Settings”.
Click “Add” you will see “Add Bluetooth device wizard”, check the box “My device is set up and ready to be found” then click “Next”.
  1. Choose new device “AutoScan& Programming”, click “Next”.
Choose the option “Use the passkey…” input “1234” then click “Next”.
Add Bluetooth device wizard complete, click “Finish”.
  1. Click Bluetooth “AutoScan& Programming” and “OK”. Now Renault-COM Bluetooth setting finish.
Open “SuperScan Manager”, choose the language you use then click “Continue”, “OK”.
You need to fulfill personal information part. Just enter “1” in name blank and you can continue.
Click “Auto Detect” then “Test Connection” to test everything is OK to go on.
You should enter two activation codes, one for EOBD-OBDII, one for RENAULT. You can check them at the Read Me file.
After that you can use Renault-COM to diagnose car!
Click “Diagnose”→ “New Vehicle” → “Renault” → “Create”, now you start to use Renault-COM Bluetooth Diagnostic and programming Interface!

ODIS-E 6.2.2 ODIS 5.0.14 ODIS 3.0.3, which for offline flash?

Possible to flash offline using ODIS-E 6.2.2 and non-original VAS 5054A?

NO!
Everything related to adaptations/coding/reading parameters looks fine but flashing (ODIS-E doesn't requre online connection) doesn't work at all. Every attempt to flashing returns following error:

Ergebnis:
Error during update programming Job runtime: 0:00:00.398 Initial repetitions: 0 Total repetitions: 0 Last value of STmin: 4294967295 µs unknown Failure - Programming aborted

So, which ODIS version can work fine for offline flash?Odis-E for offline flashing work with all the brands (Vw,Audi,Seat, Skoda) just for latest 6.2.x versions you need to have good ODX database, good clone Vas5054A and of course the necessary flash files..........
I advice you to uninstall the 6.2.2 and to install the 6.0.9b (if you have) otherwise use the 5.0.14 or 3.0.3....... old OIDS-E is working fine with it..
Free download ODIS Engineer:

tested by a diyer, saying “I have flashed some Seat and Skoda cars till now without any problem........” so need luck to try with odis 5.0.14 coz the scanners maybe result in something different. Anyway, good luck.

tested by pros working for diyobd2.fr. VXDIAG engineers also confirm Odis 3.0.3 works well with their VXDIAG VCX NANO 5054. Definitely safe to use this for offline flash; avoid to damage the ecus and instruments.

It’s a Launch EasyDiag manual of how to use it on the Apple iOS smartphones / tablets (iPod Touch, iPhone, iPad), as a powerful diagnostic tool. The EasyDiag can communicate with the iOS device via Bluetooth and will be delivered with free EOBD/OBD II software.

Demo version of the Launch EasyDiag app (iOS):

Before purchasing the EasyDiag you can test the EasyDiag app by using the demo version. Test the app for free, get a first impression and convince yourself. Just download the free app from your App Store (search for “EasyDiag”) and install it on your smartphone/tablet.
After installing the app, please open the EasyDiag app and select “Demo”. For testing the demo there is no need for a registration. Enjoy testing!

Setup the Launch EasyDiag iPhone:

  1. Download the application
    Download and install the EasyDiag app from the Apple App Store(free of charge).
  1. Registration and Login
    In the package you have the registration data included. Fill them in according to the specifications (product code & password).
